I do not use Paintshop Pro so I won't be much help in editing/fixing this photo but for future reference teach yourself to "look for the light". A simple turn of her body the opposite way and you would have had a lovely light in her face..notice how the back of her dress is nicely lit?
Are you familiar with catchlights? The little dots of lights that you see in the eyes... in well-lit photos? Look for those when you are posing your subjects. Keep turning them until you find the light in their eyes.
Your location looks similiar to my little Wstern Maryland town and I think that the background works to tell a story/location in regards to the event. You also managed to get some nice blue out of your sky! I tend to blowout my skies!
I hope that this helps you some in the future. You got really good focus and clarity here and, of course, your subject is BEAUTIFUL!
Simple fix - turn her around to face the other way. It's PERFECT light - it's not harsh sunlight, yet it's bright enough to make the sky a wonderful blue. Ahhhh. But I can see it illuminating her dress, so I would just face her towards that light.
As for editing it, I'd try to lighten the shadows (I've never used Paintshop Pro, but look for a setting for shadows/highlights).
I edited in Photoshop Elements, and I added a levels adjustment which lightened the midtones without affecting the highlights and shadows.
Then, I went in and lightened the shadows just a bit.
Now, in the process, it lightened up her beautiful dark hair and made it look a little grey in some parts (eek!), so I went back in and "burned" it to bring it back to the original rich brunette.
